Campaign for Pharmacists Thinking Kidneys

Think Kidneys is pleased to be working with The Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) on its AKI campaign this Autumn.

The CPPE is funded by NHS Health Education England to provide a core programme of learning for the pharmacy profession in England. This year’s campaign will last for six weeks and is all about acute kidney injury. Every pharmacist and pharmacy technician in England will have access to the campaign and will be encouraged to engage in the learning and to apply changes to their practice with the overall aim of improving patient care.

CPPE will launch the AKI campaign at the Pharmacy Show on 19 October. At the launch CPPE will run a one hour workshop and showcase a video and presentation.

The six-week campaign consists of the following challenges:

  1. An animated film to watch aimed at both community and hospital pharmacists
  2. A quiz to test current knowledge
  3. Publication of a distance learning programme
  4. Getting the team engaged
  5. Planning the change – developing a poster or other local activity
  6. Making a pledge week via the Think Kidneys website.
