New and important publication – Recommended minimum requirements of a care bundle for patients with AKI in hospital

A second publication this month from Think Kidneys is a useful resource for download entitled ‘Recommended minimum requirements of a care bundle for patients with AKI in hospital’.

This publication does what it says in the title and is prepared as guidance and is not a prescribed approach. The information provided can be tailored for local needs and was prepared for hospitals which don’t currently have a care bundle for AKI. It’s also useful for hospitals that do have their own guidance as it forms a checklist against which you can see whether or not a care bundle for AKI meets the national recommendations. So this guidance is not intended to replace what currently exists and is working well, and it has in face been developed following a review of AKI care bundles that have been successfully implemented in units from across the country who have generously shared their work. We hope you find it helpful.
