Actionable knowledge products distil and package knowledge into forms which can be easily implemented in day-to-day frontline practice. They provide ‘calls to action’ at point of clinical need. In some situations this may involve complex solutions, for example context-sensitive decision-support or prompts embedded in clinical systems. In others, it may be checklists or reminders and prompts, which may be automated, printed, or delivered by colleagues or patients.
